A
sixth generation Texan, I spent much of my childhood
at my uncle’s ranch in South
Texas, the one place indelibly stamped on my life
and writing. It is the love of this place and its
people that compelled me to write
A Wasp in the Fig
Tree.
I graduated The
College of William and Mary in
Virginia with degrees in English and Spanish
and now
I
live in the country outside of Austin, Texas so that
I may immerse myself in what I love:
writing and the
training and breeding of Iberian
horses.
